	As of late I've really begun to appreciate the new freedom I have through
technology.  Imagine my surprise when I went to the local Kentucky Fried
Chicken and found that I didn't need money anymore!  Well, I needed money
because the bill was $9.95 more than I planned to spend, but I didn't have to
beg, borrow, or er, ah, obtain the extra cash I needed. I had ordered the
special by the way.  I knew I should have gone to the Oasis instead. Besides
it's more lively anyway. 
	You see, I had to reach no farther than my wallet and pull out my Automated
Bank Machine card with the little Interact symbol on the back.  I handed it to
the bountifully healthy young lady behind the counter, (Who for once had a 
smile on her face the size of the grand canyon!) who slipped the card through
this marvellous device, then passed me a little computer into which I was told
to type my Personal Identification Number.  Then in an instant my whole meal had
been paid for instantly and without hassle. Imagine my whole life's security 
held in a little magnetic strip! For a small fee, the cost was taken from my 
account miles away, instead of some paper I can see leaving my hands. 
	That is true freedom, and everyone must have the chance to try it! The

to stay. A decade or two ago, people would have died laughing at the mention of
a piece of plastic holding your money, and your freedom.  We all knew the three
